Tom Jones @ Hollywood Theatre

What I remember (in 2024)

Went with A again.

I had only been 3 months since we'd seen him, but Jones was so good that going back, for A's birthday, no a no brainer.

Bought tickets from the MGM Box Office and because we were flexible with days, we picked tonight and sat at a table in the front row.

Jones, at one point, singing right in front of us, winked at A, definitely making her night.

Another strong performance.

Went with A.

Another 3 hour show, with all new stories.

Henry ended up, justifiably, upset, as crowds started moving towards the bar and making noises.

Had heard so many great things about Cirque du Soleil, but this show didn't live up to the hype.

The Vines, Jet & Living End @ The Joint

What I remember (in 2024)

Went with A & Dave.

Thought the running order was the wrong way.  From what I knew, the Living End were the biggest of the 3 bands, but The Vines were the band of the moment.

Living End were terrific.  Jet was better than expected, but the Vines were disappointing.

Sex Bomb was a big hit when we lived in England, and A didn't know Tom Jones before that.  I promised her we'd see him if he came to Vegas, so we did.

His voice, energy, band and stage persona was dynamite.

What I remember (in 2024)

Went with A, Dave, Drew & Jackie.  Walked less than 10 minutes from the apartment.

Regina Sektor solo on the piano was really good.

KIngs of Leon were great, but The Strokes were fantastic.

Confetti at midnight and The Strokes played Take It Or Leave It.

Jane's weren't as high energy as I wanted (like 1992 Jane's Addiction would've been).

Went with A & Dave.

House of Blues was packed to the rafters.

While the whole show was high energy, the crowd was more so than the band.

Went with A.

Bought tickets, just after Johnny Cash died.  Though we needed to make sure we saw one of these two legends.

Didn't know when we bought the tickets that the show was on during the National Finals Rodeo in Vegas.  A & I were onya couple of people without a belt buckles, ten gallon hats or cowboy boots on.

Crowd got wild when Willie kept throwing his headband and bandanas out into the audience.

Considering our 1st House of Blues show (Blur) was one of the worst I'd seen, this was one of the best (still ranks at 11).
