Sydney Swans vs Geelong Cats @ SCG

Swans 18.17.125 (Tony Lockett 6, Stuart Maxfield 2, Dale Lewis 2, Craig O'Brien 2, Darren Cresswell, Michael O'Loughlin, Shannon Grant, Troy Luff, Jason Mooney goals) defeated Geelong 11.8.74 (Bill Brownless 3, Gary Ablett 2, Leigh Tudor 2, Peter Riccardi, Brad Sholl, Steven King, John Barnes goals)

Crowd: 44,047

What I remember (in 2024)...
Going to an AFL game came about because of the Super League splitting allegiances with rugby league fans.  That, and the fact that the Swans were performing better than ever.
Record Swans crowd.  Also biggest SCG crowd since it became fully seated.
